Making customer lives easier with Smart Power.

What it does

Our project is an android app for dominion energy keeping customer in the center. The app has several options designed for customer. App improves the communication between the customer and Dominion which results in transparency. Main ideas are:

1) Designing reward system: a) Report an Incident - They can send GPS location or the address where the incident has occurred. b) Reduce Energy Consumption c) Prepay the bills which also helps in increasing their credit score 2) Smart Home: a) Customers can monitor their daily, weekly, monthly power usage rate. The data from the smart meter is used to also predict the power usage in future time using data analytics. b)Customers get the current power price in realtime on the app. c) Gives suggestions to customer to save energy by using their equipment in different time. It calculates the Reward points that the customer can earn by doing so.

3) Safety Tips and Alerts: Dominion has always strived for customer safety. This app provides the safety tips and Alerts when required customized to the customer details.

Learning new app development from scratch and making a working app has been a great task.
