Inspiration
We live in a country called India. In 2020, we've got 17.3 cases of breast cancer with a very low survival rate. We get to see so many patients around us, some of our close and loved ones and seeing that happening in front of us, we know for sure we've got to be with them. Taking inspiration from Indian culture of mass community support and belief, we've created a platform for people all over the world to share their thoughts, knowledge, moments of health, happiness, fright and sorrow. We want everyone to know that the world is with them even come what may.
What it does
Our web application allows a survivor or patient to share their stories through interactive posts, hashtags, captions, photos and videos, build 24 hour stories, it allows a supporter to comment, like, interact with survivors, it allows people to connect through open chats or personal chatrooms, it allows women of all ages to do a self examination for breast cancer through a series of steps, gives recomendations and required knowledge about breast cancer, and lets you know the status of breast cancer soldiers in and around the world.
How I built it
We built it using languages like HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT
What I learned
We learned a lot of new technology that we weren't exposed to at all before.
What's next for PowerRangers
Our vision for the future is to generate awareness not just to women but to kids and men just the same for their loved ones so they know exactly what to do. We also want to aim at early detection and prevention.
