Inspiration

Our inspiration was from what we have seen at school and in our daily lives. The smoking epidemic is still a relevant problem, and we wanted to address it with our website.

What it does

Our website informs young teens about the dangers of smoking by providing information on its effects on the brain and body, as well as providing a real life example of how smoking ruined their life. Finally, we provide phone numbers and links to organizations that serve to help those who are going through smoking withdrawals and help them along the rest of their journey.

How we built it

We built this with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

At the 5 minute mark, a large part of our page disappeared and we had to undo much of the code we worked on to get it back. In addition, embedding the video onto the page was very difficult because the server did not want to support the YouTube link we provided.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were really proud of when we were finally able to get the video working on the website, and when were able to finish off the color theme we were going for.

What we learned

We learned a lot about the effects of smoking that we did not know before doing this project.

What's next for Powerpuff Girls - Prevent the Puff

We hope to add more to our website such as a subscription option where subscribers can receive updated news on the stats of smoking.
