Inspiration

Im insipired by Microsoft Powerapps citizen coder stories as I, too, not from background programming.

What it does

My MVP (Minimum Viable Project) Powerapps allow car dealer user to add or edit the car sales record and it will be keep in the Excel datastore in the meantime.

How we built it

I created from scratch and actually have two powerapps where I connected one to Azure SQL database and another to Excel. However for submission, I have submitted the powerapps that is connected to Excel.

Challenges we ran into

Quite a lot. I cant send back the data to Azure SQL database but I can import the SQL server to my powerapps. I cant do search function and combobox thus I cant ensure data integrity properly. Plus, I actually wanted to add the login screen but due to time constraints, I didnt.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud that I managed to complete the minimum viable project of my powerapps and its working as intended.

What we learned

I learnt a lot especially on the Azure SQL database side. Learn how to create Azure sql db, write the sql query and can restrict certain columns as well just using the SQL query. I have found Powerapps also is a fun lesson.

What's next for PowerApps for Car Dealer (Just Analytics Prob Statement 2)

I convert all challenges that I'm facing and I will transform my powerapps to a better version than today even though the hackathon is over. Stay tuned, and please check my LinkedIn profile for the udpate.
