Inspiration

We wanted to inspire women and young girls through opportunities not always given to them. We were inspired by the hackathon itself, how it connected women on a global scale, and got them to collaborate and create

What it does

The website is designed to bring women together by the use of resources, providing links to inspirational TEDTalks by women in STEM, some notable women figures, and connecting women in their countries to jobs, and a discussion tab for those women seeking jobs.

How we built it

Andrea and Tumininu created the website through coding by use of HTML on replit and vscode

Challenges we ran into

Time zone constraints, teammate power outages, coding issues, transferring between different platforms

Accomplishments that we're proud of

All the work we'd done under the constraints

What we learned

Women only make up 27% of STEM workers in the United States, according to the US Census In the US, Black women make $0.63 to every dollar a man earns

What's next for POWER STEM Project

Development of a full website (?)
