Inspiration: The idea came about, when planning on being outside for long hours. I was thinking ahead of time. I thought about, how was I going to recharge my phone without depending on an outlet.

What it does ? It charged the power bank for the phone or whatever devices that may require a micro usb.

How I built it ? I used solar cells. 2 wires. Black and red. Colors don't matter, I just used the universal colors for positive and ground. I opened up a micro usb cable. I used a L7805 voltage regulator. Which to my understanding, is used to keep disorganized power as stable as possible . I hope I explained it correctly. As for the shoulder pad, some cosplay techniques were used.

Challenges I ran into: understanding the inside of the usb cable. It has 4 wires. 2 for the usual positive and ground. The other 2 are data wires. Also, understanding the L7805 regulator.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of: it was an old idea that's alive now.

What I learned: some soldering was involved. I don't have much experience in that.

What's next for Power pad. Unknown.
