Inspiration

Our inspiration came from the compassion ignited by the pain patients have to go through just to get medical care. The crowds and the waiting time without assurance were the highlights.

What it does

This solution allows patients book an appointment 24/7 online and also get an email based on their responses. it also allows the doctors to have a preview of their patients profile before first physical contact onsite.

How we built it

We created a site using PowerPages with a Microsoft form embedded in it. We created a SharePoint list using SharePoint and used the SharePoint connector as a link between the Microsoft form and the app which was built using Microsoft PowerApps. Lastly we used PowerAutomate to create flow that sends appointment emails to intending patients based on their responses.

Challenges we ran into

We had a problem with the flow. we couldn't embed a functionality that allows the doctors to know the number of patients who booked an appointment.
Understanding the environments and how to work with them. Difficulties in editing the Power Pages. The data type used for mobile numbers in the Forms did not tally with that in the SharePoint, so the flow failed.

Accomplishments that we are proud of

We are glad we've been able to create a workable solution cutting down on waiting time and eliminating the crowd

What we learned

How to work as a team How to contribute to our society using technology

What's next for PowerView?

We plan on improving the workability of our solution by connecting it to power Bi and adding some functionalities to the app to help the users interact with their data better
