Inspiration

PoultryGuard draws inspiration from the need to modernize and optimize poultry farming practices since I was raised by a farming family that financed my education sometimes we had problems identifying poultry diseases which led to great losses and sometimes my parent were unable to pay for school fees. By leveraging advanced technologies, we aim to empower farmers with tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and animal welfare in the poultry industry.

What it does

PoultryGuard is a comprehensive solution that offers poultry disease detection, medication procurement, and farm management services. Using cutting-edge artificial intelligence powered by the Gemini API, it accurately identifies diseases in poultry flocks. Additionally, it provides a seamless platform for purchasing medication directly through the app and facilitates doorstep delivery, ensuring timely treatment.

How I built it

PoultryGuard is built using a combination of Flutter for the user interface, Firebase for backend services including authentication, real-time database management, and cloud storage, and the Gemini API for advanced disease detection capabilities.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating multiple technologies seamlessly presented challenges in terms of compatibility and data synchronization. Additionally, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of disease detection algorithms required extensive testing and refinement.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have developed a robust solution that addresses critical challenges in poultry farming. From accurate disease detection to convenient medication procurement and delivery, PoultryGuard offers a comprehensive suite of tools to improve farm management and animal welfare.

What we learned

Through the development of PoultryGuard, we gained valuable insights into the complexities of integrating diverse technologies to create a cohesive solution. We also deepened our understanding of poultry health management and the potential of AI in agriculture.

What's next for Poultry Guard

In the future, we plan to further enhance PoultryGuard with additional features such as predictive analytics for disease outbreaks, automated vaccination scheduling, and integration with sensors for real-time environmental monitoring. We also aim to expand its reach to more regions and scale its impact on improving poultry farming practices globally.
