Inspiration

The inspiration for the Carbon Footprint Tracker comes from the growing need to address climate change and promote sustainable living. We wanted to create an engaging and interactive tool that empowers individuals to monitor and reduce their carbon footprint in a fun and rewarding way.

What it does

The Carbon Footprint Tracker allows users to log daily activities, such as biking, eating salads, or gardening, and receive points based on the environmental impact of these actions. Users can visualize their progress through dynamic line and pie charts, track their goal achievements, and advance through an engaging ranking system inspired by nature-themed icons.

How we built it

We developed the Carbon Footprint Tracker using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. For data visualization, we integrated the Chart.js library to create responsive and visually appealing charts. LocalStorage was used to persist user data, enabling activity logging and progress tracking across sessions. The user interface was styled for accessibility and simplicity, ensuring ease of use.
