Inspiration

We were inspired by how common poor posture is among students and wanted to build a simple tool that promotes healthier habits in real time.

What it does

Detects good vs. bad posture using a webcam and alerts the user with visual and audio feedback when bad posture is detected.

How we built it

We trained a model using Google Teachable Machine and integrated it into a web app using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with real-time webcam input and predictions.

Challenges we ran into

Handling real-time predictions, integrating the model, and ensuring reliable audio alerts without repeated triggering.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully built a working real-time posture detection system with both visual and audio feedback.

What we learned

How to train and deploy a machine learning model in a web app and handle real-time user input and feedback.
