It's hard to pay attention to posture when you're immersed in your work. As a team of high school students ourselves, we wanted an application that would make it easier for teens and adults to develop good posture habits before permanent back injuries arise.
What it does
The desktop app shows a live feed of your posture streamed from your phone's camera. We haven't completed the alert system yet.
How we built it
We used TensorFlow Lite in an iOS app to do pose estimation, and a TCP server on the desktop to receive the data stream. The feed is rendered with Pygame.
Challenges we ran into
Sorting incoming TCP packets into skeleton data and images took much longer than we expected.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It kind of works!
What we learned
We learned how to use TensorFlow Lite and write a TCP server in Python.
