Inspiration Our journey began with a simple observation: while AI-generated content is revolutionizing digital publishing, there's still a gap between content discovery and fair compensation for creators. We noticed that RSS feeds, despite being a traditional technology, remain one of the most reliable ways to discover new content. This led us to a question: What if we could combine the power of AI content generation with the accessibility of RSS feeds, all while ensuring creators are fairly compensated through blockchain technology?

What It Does

AI RSS Reader is a mobile-first web platform that transforms how users consume AI-generated content. Here's how it works:

  1. Users can browse through previews of AI-generated articles sourced from various RSS feeds
  2. Each article is uniquely generated in real-time based on RSS prompts
  3. To access full articles, users pay a small amount in SOL or USDC
  4. The platform provides a seamless, wallet-integrated reading experience

How We Built It

Our tech stack was carefully chosen to create a robust and scalable solution:

  • Frontend: React.js with Tailwind CSS for a responsive mobile-first design
  • Backend: Node.js server handling RSS feed processing and AI integration
  • Blockchain Integration: Solana web3.js for handling cryptocurrency transactions
  • AI Integration: Custom API endpoints for real-time article generation Database: MongoDB for storing article metadata and user preferences

The development process followed these key steps:

  1. First, we built the RSS feed parser and AI content generation pipeline
  2. Next, we implemented the mobile-responsive UI with preview cards
  3. Then, we integrated Solana wallet connectivity and payment processing
  4. Finally, we added user authentication and content management features

Challenges we ran into
