Inspiration
Our inspiration was quite close to home – ourselves. As a group of developer students, we often struggle with maintaining good posture during long coding sessions, study sessions, and work hours. The idea of developing a solution to help us monitor and improve our posture while seamlessly integrating with our daily tasks sparked our inspiration.
What it does
This application is designed to actively monitor and record your posture while you are seated, utilizing advanced image processing techniques to evaluate your sitting behavior. It provides you with valuable statistics and insights about your posture habits.
How we built it
Our journey began with crafting the frontend designs using Figma. Subsequently, we embarked on building the core application using Expo CLI. Concurrently, we set up the necessary database infrastructure and configured response handling to ensure a seamless user experience.
Challenges we ran into
Our primary challenge was initially brainstorming and refining the idea. Once that was settled, the next significant hurdle was devising an effective posture evaluation system, which required a creative and technical approach.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We take pride in successfully developing this application within a relatively short timeframe while implementing a robust posture evaluation system that delivers accurate results.
What we learned
Through this project, we gained invaluable experience in finding innovative solutions under time constraints. It has been a rewarding learning experience for all of us.
What's next for Postrue
Our vision for Postrue includes the addition of more features and the implementation of robust authentication services. Furthermore, we aim to expand its accessibility by making it available on web and desktop platforms as well.
