Post Operative Care Bot

Inspiration

I have personally faced instances where I had to wait to get connected to a medical practitioner regarding medical help during my post operative care. So I thought why not create a personalized bot that would help more quickly

What it does

It takes into account each patients history and assists them depending on their medical records

How we built it

The back-end is built with FastAPI, front-end with CSS and HTML, , Gemini API in LLM for contextual chat and triage via RAG, and RedisVL in vector search for RAG

Challenges we ran into

By using the free tier of various services, there are certain limitations that impact the deployment fast response

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This would help patients that are in need of quick medical support

What we learned

Learned about the RedisVL for quick search in LLM based projects

What's next for Post Operative Care Bot

Since this is just a prototype, We plan to implement alert/reminder modules that would greatly help in monitoring the patient's health more closely.
