The musicians playing for the community on their balcony inspired us to create wellness using proximity while respecting physical distancing

The projects aims at restoring the confidence of embracing sports and physical activity following the pandemic crisis faced worldwide. we are well aware that this pandemic has negative impacts on both physical and mental health. in this respect the programme is socially driven and will rebuild trust and optimism in communal life.

We bear in mind of the significance of an inclusive and accessible programme and we optimize sustainable resources, what is handy and available, and what can be reused, recycled and upcycled while engaging in the activities.

Initially people might show reticence to perform in public at first. this is why the initial event will start with a group known to each others and groups who can vehicle from one area to the other to cascade the concept of the Fitness-n-wellness for all to different communities. we target teachers, parents, gym workers, youth officers, community officers, social workers who can act as gatekeepers and volunteers to make the programme accessible to all over the long run. National broadcasting and live streaming on social media will popularize the concept as well.

it is a simple cheap and sustainable initiative which outreach people of all age, communities, regions and countries. it has the potential to bring social solidarity and happiness among people. More important it has a social element which is directly linked to reshaping the social lives of people from vulnerable situations

We deserve to be fit, to be happy but when we spread happiness and wellness to the whole we build a strong community.

What's next for POST-COVID FITNESS-n-WELLNESS FOR ALL

The programme initiate people to be sensitive to their environment, they can be aware of whether their public spaces are safe, if not the programme will help citizens to reclaim public spaces, be sensitize to keep their beaches, streets clean as they use it as a community. We will make follow up and include it in our teacher education programmes and pilot the idea in schools and outreach diverse communities.
