Positivity

Inspiration

We were inspired by the lack of applications that help reinforce positivity in our daily lives, especially with people increasingly becoming more aware of problems and seeing the "bad" rather than the "good."

What it does

It sends a daily motivational quote of the day, has a cloud bank of motivational statements for on-demand access, contains all resources for students, and does sentiment analysis on news articles to shine a light on positive news of the week.

How we built it

We built it using React Native and Tensorflow.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into many challenges, from learning React Native on the fly to working on GitHub clashes with merges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of learning many things on the way, from using Expo in React Native to designing an entire UI with UI Kitten.

What we learned

We learned a lot about the backend and front-end development.

What's Next for Positivity

We hope to publish the app to actually make our idea a reality.
