Inspiration

We took inspiration from colour palette examples from canva. Utilizing the royal elegant colour palette, we tried to create a website with colours to match.

What it does

Our website is a compilation of four different webpages containing portfolios of each of the 4 members which can found on the homepage.

How we built it

We first drew up wireframe of the website to ensure everyone agreed on the layout. Then we created basic prototypes of the webpages with the help from a provided template. With the prototype in place, we chose our colour palette and worked collaboratively on UI and functionality. We constantly tested the responsiveness of our website to ensure there were no errors.

Challenges we ran into

Most of our challenged arose when using the Bulma stylesheets. Not knowing where and how to change some of the css of specific sections. Inspecting elements really helped in identifying where the elements truly lay.

What we learned

Some members of the group were fairly new to web design, so they were able to learn a lot about html, css and javascript. Everyone was able to collaborate effectively and improved our teamwork, communication and problem solving skills.

What's next for Portfolios By C2D2

C2D2 is planning to expand on the functionality to not only include portfolios of the team members but allow the public to upload their own information to automatically create a portfolio of their own. There are also plans to implement more layout options for individual users.
