Inspiration
We read the Optiver challenge and decided to tackle it as we care strongly about environmental and sustainability causes.
What it does
Our program helps the user hedge risk and sustainability to a scale of their choosing. It uses algorithms to try and pick a good selection of projects to meet the requirement set by the challenge.
How we built it
We built it using python, html, and css
Challenges we ran into
We were not familiar with most of the mathematical algorithms needed for this kind of task, so having to learn about them and implement them to the best of our ability was quite hard. A couple members of our group were also not too experienced at front end so it was good for them to get hands on with it as well.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of our teamwork, we delegated well, and helped each other out when we needed it. It was also very good to try so many new things. We had fun!
What we learned
Loads of math, collaborative coding environments, good communication, and some front end concepts.
