Inspiration
When I started working on this project, my main goal was to create something simple yet professional that could represent me as a beginner web developer. I wanted a website that would act as my digital portfolio, showing my skills, education, and learning journey all built using only HTML and CSS.
What it does
The idea came to my mind when I realized that most job platforms and competitions ask for a portfolio link. Instead of using a ready-made template, I decided to design and code my own from scratch. I wanted to test how much I had learned and how I could turn that knowledge into something real.
How we built it
While creating the project, I learned a lot about HTML structure, semantic tags, and how to use CSS for styling and layout. I also explored how to make the design look clean and readable by adjusting font sizes, colors, and spacing. I learned how small details like margins and text alignment can change the entire look of a webpage.
Challenges we ran into
However, the journey wasn’t without challenges. One major challenge I faced was aligning elements properly and keeping them centered on the page. Sometimes, the image and text wouldn’t appear as I wanted them to.
What we learned
These difficulties helped me improve my problem-solving skills and made me search for better ways to write CSS.
What's next for Portfolio_webpage
This project is just the beginning of my web development journey. In the next steps, I plan to add more interactive features using JavaScript, such as a contact form, a dark/light theme switch, and small animations to make the portfolio more engaging.
