  Portfolio Studio is an AI-powered platform that automates scholarship discovery, enables human-verified publishing.

Inspiration

The inspiration behind our project came from the difficulty students face when searching for scholarship opportunities. Information is often scattered across different websites and platforms, making it time-consuming to find relevant opportunities and verify their details.

We also wanted to help students and young professionals build their online presence by creating personal portfolios that showcase their skills, projects, and achievements. Our goal was to bring opportunity discovery and personal branding together in one platform.

What it does

Our platform automates the collection of scholarship information and organizes it into a centralized dashboard.

Instead of publishing every result automatically, the system first sends newly discovered scholarships to the administrator through Telegram for review and verification. Once approved, the opportunities can be published on the dashboard.

The admin panel supports both automated and manual management, giving the administrator control over scholarship listings.

The platform also allows users to create personal portfolios and share them through a public link, helping them present their skills and achievements online.

How we built it

We built the platform by combining a web application with workflow automation.

The web application provides the scholarship dashboard, administrative interface, and personal portfolio functionality. We use n8n to automate the scholarship collection workflow and Telegram to deliver newly discovered opportunities to the administrator for review.

The workflow is designed to separate information collection from publication, allowing human verification before scholarships become visible on the dashboard. This approach combines automation with administrative control.

Challenges we ran into

One of our main challenges was building a reliable automated workflow that could collect scholarship information while avoiding duplicate listings.

We also had to coordinate several components, including the automation workflow, Telegram notifications, the administrative interface, and the website dashboard.

Another challenge was maintaining control over the publishing process. We wanted automation to save time without removing the administrator's ability to verify information and manage opportunities manually.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have developed a platform that brings scholarship discovery, automated information collection, human verification, and personal portfolio creation together in one project.

We are especially proud of the Telegram-based review workflow, which allows the administrator to inspect new scholarship opportunities before publication.

We also value the flexibility of our hybrid management approach, which supports both automated workflows and manual administrative control.

What we learned

Through this project, we learned how to connect web applications with automation workflows and messaging platforms to build a more integrated user experience.

We also learned the importance of human verification in automated information systems, especially when users depend on the accuracy of published opportunities.

The project helped us better understand workflow design, data consistency, duplicate prevention, and the importance of building systems that remain manageable when automated processes encounter errors.

What's next for Portfolio Studio

Our next goal is to make Portfolio Studio more intelligent and personalized.

We plan to introduce an AI-powered portfolio builder that allows users to describe their ideal portfolio in natural language. An AI agent will then generate a customized portfolio template based on their preferences, skills, and goals.

We also aim to improve scholarship discovery, strengthen duplicate detection, expand our information sources, and introduce personalized notifications.

Our long-term vision is to make Portfolio Studio a platform where users can discover scholarship opportunities, manage them efficiently, and build a professional online presence all in one place.
