Portfolio Website

Inspiration

The theme for this hackathon was to create a portfolio template to showcase our work, experience and skills that we gain throughout our career. We wanted to make the template easy to navigate and visually appealing for the user.

How we built it

Our portfolio template is built using Ruby and Jekyll static site generator. We also made use of CSS and JavaScript to add animations, dark themes and many other features.

Challenges we ran into

While building this website, we came across a lot of challenges. Since our group was new to both Ruby and Jekyll, we had to go through the documentation and explore it together. Initially, we also faced difficulty with the project set up, but with the support of our team, we were able to tackle all the issues.

What we learned

This last week was very productive for all of us. We learnt how to work with Ruby and how to use Jekyll to generate static websites. We also learnt a lot about collaboration and working in a team.
