Inspiration
I basically took layout and design inspiration from stripes, apple and other well known websites, it took a bit of research and prompt engineering. I wanted a portfolio that shows more than just a nice design. Most portfolios look good, but few explain the person behind them. I wanted something that communicates who I am, how I think, and what I can offer.
What it does
This portfolio highlights my journey, skills, achievements ets. It’s a one-stop place to understand me quickly—my mindset, direction, and value—without needing to dig through multiple pages.
How we built it
I used React.js for a clean, component-based structure and Tailwind CSS for fast, minimal styling. The layout is mobile-first and responsive . Interactivity is smooth but light—no heavy animations, just clear, fast UX. Goal was to finish it.
Challenges we ran into
That's absolute cinema ngl. Specially mobile version was sooooo time consuming to make. We couldn't even make a dark mode version.... Maintaining consistency while keeping a minimal design was hard. Also, making the portfolio feel personal without overloading it with information took careful balancing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We created a clean, scroll-based storytelling format that reflects my personality. Achievements like being 1st Runner-up in the National Math Olympiad and Science Olympiad Champion are highlighted. The portfolio successfully combines design, tech, and personal branding in one platform.
What I learned
I learned how to structure content effectively, prioritize clarity over decoration, and merge personal branding with technical execution. Minimal design can still be powerful when storytelling is strong.
What's next for Portfolio – MD Isfar Nur
Next, I plan to add more interactivity, AI-assisted personalization, and deeper storytelling. The goal is to keep evolving the portfolio as I grow as an AI researcher and continue sharing my journey and projects.
