Inspiration
First, I was disappointed in myself because I believe I have so much to offer, but the continual internship rejections caused me to doubt my skills. When I was saw the Hackathon, I thought: "Why don't I try to do this? Maybe I might find my passion to fight again."
What it does
It is a website portfolio that shows what I have explored, my background, and a few projects I have created.
How we built it
I used Nuxt Js framework, Vue Js library, Tailwind CSS, Typescript, CSS and HTML.
Challenges we ran into
- It is my first time using the Nuxt framework, it was difficult setting everything up in the beginning.
- I also had a hard time making design decisions. E.g. the colors to use.
- I also had an issue setting up github pages with nuxt js. I resorted to a more convenient alternative: firebase.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- I'm glad I was able to do something. It was worth the time and effort.
What we learned
- I was impressed about how Nuxt Js works. I will be looking forward to working on more projects with it.
- I also learned a lot about
<meta>tags. It was my first time getting to know there's something calledog:title,og:image, andog:url. - I also learnt about the signifance of
robotsmetadata. It determines what a search can and cannot index. I never knew about that. I'm glad I learned it. I would definitely apply it to future projects and update previous ones.
What's next for Portfolio
I will continue to improve the project after the hackathon. Who knows? It may be the door to getting my first opportunity and I'll be glad I didn't give up.
