Inspiration

As developers, we spend countless hours inside Visual Studio Code, and it almost feels like home. The idea behind this project was to create a developer portfolio that feels like your favorite editor — minimal, familiar, and functional. Instead of following traditional portfolio designs, we wanted something that instantly resonates with other developers while showcasing creativity and attention to detail.

What it does

This is a VS Code–themed developer portfolio website built to showcase your projects, skills, and contact information in a clean and interactive way.

How we built it

We built the portfolio using React.js for its component-based architecture and dynamic routing capabilities. The UI is styled with TailwindCSS, allowing us to maintain consistency, responsiveness, and a smooth dark theme experience.

Challenges we ran into

Design Consistency: Matching the exact look and feel of VS Code’s interface while keeping the layout responsive was challenging.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

1.Successfully replicated the VS Code UI in a browser-friendly, responsive format. 2.Built an intuitive and interactive portfolio that reflects a developer’s workspace. 3.Achieved a fast, lightweight, and maintainable React setup using clean, modular code.

What's next for Portfolio

1.Adding light mode and theme toggling options. 2.Integrating a blog section for sharing thoughts and technical write-ups. 3.Adding a terminal-style command palette for quick navigation (to deepen the VS Code experience).
