Inspiration
We believe self-ownership is the key to freedom and our future.
To achieve it, we set a goal of creating easy-to-use and innovative technology for Web 3.0 creators, namely Connected NFTs.
Our solution aims to enable creatives to monetize their assets, designs, inventions, and experiences in the new decentralized world.
What it does
Our connected NFTs have 3 main attributes:
- They can have custom revenue models.
- They can be tracked and store data.
- They can react to external triggers and events.
Custom revenue models can be a PPC model or a yearly license for a resource, product, or service.
Trackable data can be anything from entries, views, time spent, and context to any usage and interaction-related analytics like clicks, reviews, comments, and reactions.
External triggers can be a form submission, an expiry date, winning a battle or a race in the metaverse, or any other custom webhook you can think of.
Combined, real-world use cases for NFTs are becoming viable.
Example
For example, as a metaverse user, you could publish your avatar with allocation for ad space where brands can place their logos, the same as you do for any other item or equipment.
Then you can set up a revenue model that says, for every hour played, be paid 50 HBARs.
If you get to the top 3 in a public competition, that's an extra 5K HBARs, and if you win, 10K HBARs more.
On the other side, a brand could subscribe to this campaign or bid on it with its own terms and budget.
Then you, the player will be able to accept, deny, or choose a programmatic circulation of brand logos over your avatar to maximize your profits.
How we built it
As an overview, from a client perspective, we have a web application that will allow users to create and consume connected NFTs completely trustless using their HashPack wallets.
The web application will be hosted on IPFS as well as our database using OrbitDB.
We use the Hedera Token and Smart Contract Services to dynamically generate custom contracts and NFTs on the fly.
Once fully supported, we will integrate Chainlink's Any-API to validate external data flows and events.
We will also create an SDK for developers so they can integrate our solution into their own web applications.
And lastly, expose our data for open-source consumption using subgraphs on The Graph.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
If we take a look at our accomplishments in this hackathon, we have:
- Developed a solid POC and concept with high impact potential for Web 3.0
- We built a strong team that can execute our vision
- Connected with the community and creators in the Hedera ecosystem
