Inspiration

I'm a traditional artist who loves technology, however, I was struggling to leverage my ideas at first - as they were too ambitious.

A few days ago I was so happy to see a rainbow in my backyard. With real rainbow outside my window, as well as June, being the LGBTQ pride month I got the idea for my filter.

What it does

Portable Rainbow adds a rainbow to the user's surroundings.

How I built it

Technically effect is very simple, but I had to learn how to use the plane tracker and world space. I also used photoshop to create the .png file of a rainbow

Challenges I ran into

The most difficult was just to figure out the right distance for the rainbow to look realistic and at the same time being convenient for the user to capture it.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm pretty excited that rainbow looks pretty realistic in the surroundings

What I learned

I gained more understanding about world effect - the feature that I was avoiding until now

What's next for Portable Rainbow

I'm hoping to make the rainbow even more realistic and add more rare sights such as double rainbow, supernumerary rainbow
