Inspiration

The seed for Poper was planted out of personal frustration with the existing popup builders that lacked personalization and were often seen as intrusive by website visitors. We were inspired to create a solution that not only engaged visitors but also converted them into loyal customers or subscribers by offering value instead of interruptions.

What it does

Poper utilizes AI to create smart, personalized popups based on visitor behavior and website content. These popups are designed to enhance user engagement, improve conversion rates, and help website owners achieve their marketing goals effectively.

How I built it

I developed Poper using a combination of modern technologies including React for the frontend, Node.js and Express.js for the backend, MongoDB for the database, and Python for the AI algorithms. We leveraged cloud services like AWS for scalability and reliability, ensuring that Poper can handle traffic of any volume.

Challenges I ran into

One of the main challenges was designing an AI algorithm capable of understanding diverse website content and visitor behaviors to create relevant and engaging popups. Ensuring a seamless integration across various platforms and maintaining a balance between user-friendly design and advanced functionality were also significant hurdles.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Successfully launching Poper and seeing it actively used and appreciated by businesses of all sizes is an accomplishment we're incredibly proud of. Overcoming the technical challenges and delivering a product that genuinely improves website engagement and conversions is a testament to our vision and hard work.

What I learned

Throughout this journey, I've learned the importance of truly understanding the user's needs, the potential of AI in enhancing digital marketing strategies, and the value of persistence and innovation in overcoming development challenges.
