Pope Up

Inspiration

Pope's coming to Philly and cares about a lot of issues. Philadelphia is a progressive city addressing various social issues (e.g. education, poverty, immigration, LGBTQ rights, environmental issues). We wanted to create a platform to inform people visiting to see the pope about how their interests in various issues the pope has views on are being addressed in Philadelphia.

What it does

Educates user, provides functionality to learn about organizations in Philadelphia.

How I built it

Python/Flask/HTML/CSS/Jinja/jQuery/JavaScript

Challenges I ran into

Integrating Flask/JSON files.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Created first dynamic web-app using flask (vs. static HTML page)

What I learned

How to integrate jQuery with HTML, how to work with Flask.
