Inspiration

All the people in this team struggled with finding team members in this Junction Tokyo. There are many dating apps but no matching app to find devs and designers. We would like to maximize the power of socializing in events especially such as hackathon and optimize the time to find great team members.

What it does

This app allows people to find devs and designers easier depends on distance/ location and mutual interests. People only need to put simple bio with showing interests with hashtags. People can search for people with interests and see popular interests around you. After people find interesting people, they can send a wave to them. With using full contact API, people can see more details without adding full profile by themselves.

How we built it

We used Javascript, Angular, firebase, ionic with full contact API on Rakuten Rapid API. We built this app for Android and iOS.

Challenges we ran into

We would like people to use this app for effective socialization especially in events, but it was difficult to make this app to be different from other dating matching apps.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made the process to find people very simple. Some people find very time consuming to text each other or put full profile to find out if the people are interesting or not. In this app, people just need to add some hashtags and a short bio to express themselves.
