Inspiration
When my son played with the pop-up music book, he wasn't that interested in the instruments on the paper book. So I want to make an app that can display 3D models of musical instruments, sounds and other information.
What it does
It can display instrument models, reveal the history of the instrument, the basics of music theory, and display websites where the sound of the instrument can be heard, related competitions and schools for the instrument.
How we built it
I used https://partyrock.aws/ to build it
Challenges we ran into
At first, I hoped to create a widget that directly plays the sound of the instrument next to the instrument model, but it failed.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Able to provide relevant knowledge and pictures of musical instruments in a very short period of time.
What we learned
Although it is not possible to directly play the sound of musical instruments, you can consider using other ways to display it. For example, I changed it to directly displaying websites that can play the sounds of musical instruments.
What's next for Instrument Explorer
The next step is to consider adding the ability to find concerts of that instrument in the user's city.
