Inspiration
I’ve always loved tofu—but saw that most people don’t, simply because it’s hard to make it taste good fast.
What it does
Pop Tofu is the first frozen tofu nugget—crispy, protein-packed, and ready in 5 minutes.
How we built it
I developed the recipe in a test kitchen, refining the texture, coating, and spice blend until it was truly craveable.
Challenges we ran into
Getting tofu to stay crispy after freezing was tough—but I cracked it with a lentil flour batter and custom breading.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I've done 3 tasting events, getting feedback from 71 people. Over 56% joined my email list after trying it.
What we learned
People want tofu—they just don’t know how to cook it. If you make it easy and delicious, they’ll come back.
What's next for Pop Tofu
I’m piloting in specialty grocers, building traction, then scaling to national freezer aisles.
