Inspiration
Donald Trump said to his followers that stormed the Capitol "We love you, you're very special." He and his followers believe they are on the right side of history which made me ask, "Why?" What do I know that makes me hold my political opinions and how do they differ from someone that believes the polar opposite?
What it does
It's a space for those who want to be challenged. Ask why you believe something is good or bad and let others know! Read why other people may believe in the opposite.
How we built it
This project is built in React with a Node.js and SQLite database.
Challenges we ran into
Learning about Javascript's async functions and trying to understand what the api output looks like without being able to see it (unless you sprinkle console.logs everywhere)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is my first time using React and Node.js so I'm pretty proud of even being able to build it when I only knew how to create a button at the beginning!
What we learned
Everything! Learning how to design your website well to utilize components to realizing that Javascript works on something called Promises (tbh still not sure)
What's next for Pop the Bubble
It'd be great if I could get the api fully up and running! As well, to have a profile system so you can keep track of history and even make comments!
