Poopski

Inspiration

This 13-second spoof was inspired by the desire to create the most absurd, high-fashion ad possible. I wanted to take the visual language of a 'Chanel' or 'Dior' ad and apply it to a product called "Poopski."

What it does

This is a 13-second, 9x16 vertical video that perfectly parodies a luxury perfume ad. The punchline is the product itself: "Poopski."

How we built it

This is all about the juxtaposition. I used AI to generate gorgeous, high-fashion 9x16 shots. Then, in the edit, I added the simple, whispered VO ("When you want to smell like shit...") and the blunt product name. The comedy is in the contrast.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge was speed. How do you land a full joke in 13 seconds? The VO timing had to be perfect.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It's a perfect micro-joke. It's fast, funny, and looks beautiful. It's one of my favorite pieces of "micro-satire."

What we learned In micro-comedy, you don't have time for a setup. The setup and the punchline have to be the same thing. The high-fashion look is the setup, the name is the punchline.

What's next for Poopski

This is "Episode 1" of a series of fake products I am creating for my social channels.
