Inspiration

We were casually chatting about pooping, joking about how we openly discuss all sorts of unfiltered topics. Then we thought—why not turn this into an app? Imagine creating something that takes a stigmatized subject and turns it into a lighthearted, harmless joke. Plus, people could actually learn a thing or two about their health along the way!

What it does

Poopify.AI app lets you track your poops in the funniest way possible. You can log each “event” with silly descriptions,, find nearby toilets, and rate them so others know what they’re getting into. It even gives you little health insights and tips based off of your input of what your "event" looked like...but way less serious. And if you feel like sharing, there’s a spot to swap stories and stats with other users who aren’t afraid to keep it real. It’s all about making something private into a funny, shared experience curate community engagement.

How we built it

Dev Team: 50% love and care, 50% ChatGPT; UX/UI Team: User-centered design process, using Figma to make a mockup of prototype.

Challenges we ran into

Let’s just say, making an app about poop isn’t exactly straightforward. We had to figure out how to make it funny without going overboard, like, keeping it light but not too gross. Also the technical part was really hard to figure out and ensure it actually working.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re just proud that we turned this wild idea into something real... kinda. We managed to create an app that takes a pretty taboo topic and makes it funny, helpful in some ways, hoping for a good laugh with their friends.

What we learned

Building an app isn’t easy, there were plenty of roadblocks and moments where we felt completely stuck. But with everyone’s support, encouragement, and a lot of shared laughs, and lots of Red Bull, we kept things moving forward. Along the way, we learned just how important it is to have a dependable, diverse team. Most importantly, we realized the value of staying open-minded and giving it our best.

What's next for Poopify.AI

We're focusing on making it viable and inclusive to move forward. First, we want to add membership features like exclusive badges and special AI-purified styles. We're also planning more gamelike features, such as achievements and poop streaks, to keep things entertaining. Improving our ratings and map system for restrooms will help users easily find and review facilities. Lastly, we'll fine-tune the AI to ensure the outputs are inclusive and humorous, maintaining a fun atmosphere for everyone.
