Inspiration
We were inspired by two universal truths: poop jokes are timeless, and everyone secretly loves chaotic survival games. Poo-nami combines both into a hilariously intense experience where the sky is literally falling—and it stinks.
What it does
Poo-nami is a fast-paced arcade-style game where players must dodge a torrential downpour of poop while escaping a monstrous wave of doom. It’s a test of reflexes, humor, and emotional resilience.
How we built it
Using Bolt.new, React and Reddit Development Platform
Challenges we ran into
- Getting the poop physics “just right” (never thought we’d say that).
- Making the game gross but still visually appealing.
- Ensuring the humor landed without crossing the line into total toilet terror.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Creating a ridiculous concept that actually turned into a fun, playable game.
- Building a unique visual style that’s silly, expressive, and polished.
- Watching people genuinely laugh while playing it.
What we learned
- Humor is a powerful tool for engagement.
- Poop is surprisingly versatile as a game mechanic.
- Making people laugh can be just as rewarding as making them win.
What's next for Poo-nami
- Add multiplayer: because dodging poop is better with friends.
- Power-ups like the “Mega Flush” or “Gas Mask Mode.”
- Launch on mobile stores and start the Poo-nami movement.
- Merch? Stickers? A plush poop? The world’s ready.
