Inspiration
In the face of endless distractions, teenagers often experience the loss of precious moments, a challenge that significantly impedes their progress. It is within this recognition of the criticality of time management that our inspiration was born. Our mission is to empower teenagers with the Pomodoro technique, enabling them to unlock their focus, realize their true potential, and cultivate lives characterized by organization and accomplishment.
It is the Pomodoro technique that serves as our catalyst for change, igniting a flame within each teenager, empowering them to conquer time and carve their own unique legacy. Our inspiration stems from the very fact that time is a precious resource, and we are dedicated to providing the tools necessary for teenagers to harness it to its fullest extent.
What it does
Introducing our Chrome extension designed to revolutionize the way teenagers manage their time and achieve their goals. Our extension combines the power of the Pomodoro technique, task management, and motivational support to help teenagers stay focused, organized, and motivated throughout their day. With our extension installed, users can effortlessly add new tasks directly within their browser. Whether it's a school assignment, a personal project, or a household chore, the task management feature allows users to input and track their to-do list efficiently.
How we built it
PomodoTask was meticulously crafted as a Chrome extension, utilizing fundamental web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We skillfully harnessed the power of Chrome extension APIs to seamlessly integrate essential features, including the Pomodoro timer, task management capabilities.
Challenges we ran into:
During the development process, we faced several challenges. Integrating the Pomodoro timer with task management required careful synchronization to ensure seamless transitions between work sessions and breaks. Additionally, sourcing and displaying random motivational quotes presented some difficulties, as we wanted to curate a diverse and inspiring collection. Overcoming these technical hurdles required thorough testing, debugging, and iterative improvements.
