I created this simple but useful app in order to mix different apps with different functionalities that i use while studying and have all in one. From the timer, to the to do list, all keeping it simple to reduce distractions.
Pomodoro section is the main one, you can choose between work and rest timer. Then, to do list section is where you can organize yourself and write down all the work you need to do during work time. Adding and deleting tasks whenever you want to. Spotify section is for choosing a playlist for studying, I put the ones I use. Finally, crab advice section was an excuse for me to make a crab with Aseprite.
I built it alone using Javascript and React. I had used React before just once, so I had to learn a lot and read the documentation, look for tutorials of Expo app. At first, it was scary, I didn´t know if I was going to be able to make something decent, plus the fact that I couldn´t work all weekend. Dealing with the navbar was giving me a real headache because I didn´t know how to do it like I wanted to and had to try lots of things and look for lot of info and tutorials. However, it was really satisfactory when I imagine what I wanted and finally I could make it work since I didn´t have lot of experience with react.
I feel proud of the app, it´s really simple but it´s useful. I learned so much and enjoy this hackathon. Next one, I will find a group and try doing something with more people.
I want to make the app more beautiful, some artsy pixel art, that´s what I will be working on. I also want to implement some changes in the spotify section, to let the user add their playlist. In addition, the crab section will be better too. I want to add more advices when you click on him or something like that.
