Po·mo·div·i·ty /ˌpäməˈdivədē/ noun The enlightened state of working productively at set intervals using the Pomodoro study technique

Our website is based around a new method aimed at increasing productivity for those who struggle without the presence of concrete goals. Developed by Francesco Cirillo, the Pomodoro Technique revolves around a timer that can be adjusted to create customized time intervals to boost productivity. Made for periods of uncertainty, this website ensures that a path to accomplishment is always available.

Procedure:
    1) Add tasks to be completed on the To-Do List.
    2) Choose the amount of time you would like to spend working during each interval.
    3) Complete the tasks and then check them off as you go.
    4) Enjoy your breaks!

Working without proper planning can be daunting, so let us help keep you on track.

It’s not good or efficient to continuously work without taking breaks, so switch off between set intervals of working and set intervals of breaks without ever having to touch the website again! We’ll let you know when it’s time to switch with a soothing sound.

We were inspired by the plethora of similar and shared experiences of fellow students of not being able to optimally concentrate on studies while being distracted by events in the world and new and sudden worries and responsibilities.

Learning how to seamlessly integrate HTML and CSS with JavaScript was one of the primary challenges we faced as a team with only one of us having real experience with both. However, due to the endless amounts of tutorials online and our dedication to the cause we were able to create the Pomodivity website.

One of the key features that could make this website more engaging and fun is allowing users to create accounts that can be linked with Facebook or some other social media platform. Users could earn points based on their levels of productivity, like completing tasks in less Pomodoro rounds for example. They can then view how they stacked up against their friends in weekly leaderboards, and possibly earn some sort of rewards.
