Inspiration
I've used Pomodoro timing in the past but during the work periods there wasn't anything holding me accountable, thus we decided to design PomoBox as a fix for that specific problem.
What it does
PomoBox locks your phone on a Pomodoro style timing to help you focus on studying.
How we built it
We used 3d printing for the box itself and a servo with Arduino to power the functionality.
Challenges we ran into
We weren't able to get all of the hardware such as screens or sensors that we wanted and had to omit original concepts for our final product.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As first time Hackers we're both proud of the functionality that we were able to create despite not having a background in CS.
What we learned
We learned how to work with Arduino IDE and basic web design.
What's next for Pomobox
We're planning on potentially creating a more polished version with all of our ideas and if it gathers enough interest potentially building it into a full product.
