My friends and I always have a hard time deciding where to eat. In fact, sometimes it takes longer to decide where to eat than actually eating. I'm sure we're not the only ones with the problem, so I created this app that will help everyone out.
What it does
It uses the Yelp Fusion API to return a single restaurant based on given conditions.
How I built it
I built it on Node.js using Express and Handlebars, deploying it on Heroku.
Challenges I ran into
I had a ton of trouble working with the endpoints and retrieving data from the client side. Working alone definitely amplified the difficulty of challenges that I ran into.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud of the fact that I was able to overcome the challenges I faced on my own.
What I learned
I learned how to use endpoints to retrieve data from the client side. Another important thing I learned is that I shouldn't work alone or I'm in for a bad time when I stuck.
What's next for polypicks
I'm going to polish this app based off of feedback that I receive from the judges as well as my friends.
