Inspired by the Ghost Traps from Ghostbusters, Polyspon is a game of quick thinking and shape recognition. In this game, geometric shapes spawn from a central location and need to be “trapped” in the proper “ParaTraps” or PTs. Each PT is labeled with what kind of shape, angle, or polygon that it can hold.
The player will drag their finger over the objects (collecting as many at once as they wish) and send them to the PT they believe to be the correct trap. Time is limited and the player must trap as many shapes as possible before time runs out. Upon completion, each player will be presented with a results screen showing his or her grade as well as correct and incorrect answers. The geometry that the students will learn is gathered from the NC Core Competencies in Mathematics for 6th grade.
