Official legislation is written in stiff English. Bland, hard to read and understand. Built this to help countrymen understand law/legislation in their preferred language for better understanding.
What it does
Helps countrymen understand the law and how it affects their lives by offering explainers of official PDF legislation across 3 languages. The build showcases a 'match' filter that allows a user to adopt a persona to see how the law applies to different personas. All explanations are drawn from the original legal text, which is fingerprinted and presented in the build as well.
How we built it
Built with AI tools & agents - Claude drafted explanations, alternative agents helped build the project across mobile and web, + PDF parsing, neutral lint, human in the loop + reviews.
Challenges we ran into
Translation, sourcing documents + access, flow across the build. Solved translation with human-in-the-loop + multiple rounds of reviews and fact-checking. Solved document access by sourcing official documents from Govt. instruments. Solved flow by adopting a persona and testing the build across mobile and web.

What we learned
Scoping with an agent is great for most of the legwork. There's still pleasure in jumping into the weeds for edge/uncategorized cases. Astro 7!
