Inspiration
There is a wealth of academic research on what programs are most effective for driving development outcomes. However, policymakers often don't have time to review the evidence and identify the best interventions for their context.
What it does
We created a tool that provides tailored recommendations on research-backed interventions to address pressing education, healthcare, and economic challenges in developing countries. Our dashboard synthesizes insights from academic research, policy briefs, and vetted data sources using the best of modern AI capabilities.
How we built it
We started by drafting a user interface in Lovable, then transferred to Replit to add in additional functionalities and customization.

What's next for Policy Compass
We hope to refine our prototype and share with policymakers to gain their insights on whether the tool is useful and how we could improve it. We also hope to allow for additional customization with user-inputted data and specifications (e.g., project budget and duration).
