Inspiration

Personally we had struggled to figure out an ideal personal route for me as a stem thinker. Commonly there were limited acceptable futures as a stem thinker, engineer, computer science or doctor. However neither really felt fit towards me. So we divised a website that solves that exact issue, helping thinkers find their path.

What it does

A website that get's the users background through a short and simple 20 question quiz. Assesing the results and categorizing them into 4 tropes that describe the user. The user is given a description and informationa bout their trope and given curated opportunities and pathways suited for that trope.

How we built it

We mainly built it on github with CSS/HTML/JS for the main website and python for the quiz. Finally we used ai to polish the final touches of our code

Challenges we ran into

Finding trusted resources to support the opportunites tab Finding a dynamic way for our team to work cooperatively on the same website designing specific questions of teh quiz to be flexible, simple and user friendly

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Completeing an adequate porotype and model for our solution Our project actually being benefitial in helping us define ourselves

What we learned

How to delegate tasks amongst team members Prioratizing tasks efficiently quick thinking and building Creating fun and interesting advertisments

What's next for Polaris

Scaling the community connecting thinkers to mentors Building a surplus database to house more user data to better facilitate their growth Tailoring the website to ttrack user's progress to help users themselves feel more progressed and motigvated throughout their journey
