Timecasters is a heads-up short-deck Omaha poker bot that estimates its odds and adapts to how its opponent bets.
Project description
We built Timecasters for five-card pot-limit Omaha. It uses Monte Carlo simulations to estimate its odds, updates its read on the opponent from betting patterns, and compares the expected value of folding, checking, calling, or raising. In our local eight-bot round robin, Timecasters placed first by points (27.5/35) and second by chip margin (+0.858 big blinds per deal), with zero match losses or timeouts.
