A poker bot that utilizes multiple different areas of statistics to find optimal strategies in its gameplay.
What it does
It utilizes multiple statistical methods to break down an opponents game plan to then play against them optimally.
How we built it
Was me and mostly ChatGPT Codex / Claude with baseline help
Challenges we ran into
I kept trying to make more complicated versions of the bot, but it started to dig into the time resource too hard. Especially with the unknown specs of the challenge server, in terms of CPU clock speed etc...
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It has a lightening fast think time, upwards of 200 h/s, which fits its theme of simple is better
What we learned
Game theory within the field of data science has a lot more nuance than I expected. There are many methods to try and increase your odds without simply brute forcing all possibilities.
