Inspiration
My teammate, Briana, and I love Pokémon, and we wanted to build a UI-oriented project. So we combined the two!
What it does
You can see articles, take a quiz, and have access to other helpful Pokémon information resources. There is also a Pokédex available, but it is still under construction. There is also an account feature that would allow you to save your favorite articles, but it is still under construction.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS, with some JavaScript as well.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge we ran into was making neighboring articles too close to each other. After carefully analyzing the problem and what we had in our code, we were able to overcome this obstacle!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The UI is just as unique as we hoped it would be! The Home page has a nice "sphere" shape to it, made up by hand-drawn Pokémon!
What we learned
We can now better appreciate HTML and CSS. We also learned a bit of Javascript, which required us to apply our C++ intuition.
What's next for Pokémon Now
We would like to implement the account system completely, and add the pokedex.
