Inspiration
Our team's love of Pokemon and our great childhood memories of playing the games and watching the anime inspired us to educate those who don't know much about Pokemon.
What it does
The program showcases a comprehensive list of the 151 Generation I Pokemon. Clicking on the names of the Pokemon will show you more information about it and a picture of the Pokemon. This program is very helpful in inspiring and educating people who somehow don't know anything about Pokemon.
How we built it
We used python and tkinter to program this amazing project.
Challenges we ran into
We decided to create this project in Python, and most of our team members were unfamiliar with both Python and graphics in Python.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Elements of our projects actually work and it looks pretty nice, if we say so ourselves.
What we learned
We learned to use GitHub to collaborate and how to create graphical applications using Python.
What's next for Pokedex
Next, we want to add every Pokemon ever created (807 as of 9/22/2018) and make our pictures animated. Also, we want to transition the information of each Pokemon to a SQL database and implement that into Python.
