Inspiration

Pokemon 20th anniversary

What it does

We created a database first generation pokemon. Using Eigen analysis (image processing) to recognize the closes match to a mystery pokemon.

How we built it

Backend is in python, front end is in html and node.js.

Challenges we ran into

We have never done front end applications before, so we had to learn that. We are also learning the sensitivities and limitations of Eigen analysis.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made a basic website that accepts user file input.

What we learned

What's next for Pokedex

Expand the database with more types, more gens, and more angles of each pokemon. Also, incorporation of machine learning in to the algorithm. More features on the website and full integration with front and back end.
