Purpose
Poirot aims to support researchers and law enforcement officials conducting investigations into human trafficking and its manifestations online. Following the closure of backpage.com, it is believed that human trafficking listings migrated to other forums and classified advertising platforms across the Web. By flagging postings within an advertisement or listing website that contain keywords potentially related to sex trafficking, users can save time instead of manually having to look through each posting.
